Dual Slalom and XC Racing at Stafford Lake Bike Park!

The DUAL SLALOM SERIES comprises 4 side-by-side, gravity-fed races on the Stafford Lake Bike Park dual slalom course. Pump and jump through qualifying and final rounds! Races take place on every other Sunday: August 25, September 8 & 22, and October 6. Each class will do a single lane qualifying run to seed for the first bracket. Combined times from a run in each lane will halve the field in subsequent heats until the final two go head to head for the final. Class size is limited to 32, and the full race for each category will not exceed 2 hours from qualifying to podiums. Fee to race is $20. Pre-register for all 4 and receive a 15% discount. Pre-registration is best, but we will have onsite registration up until the start of each category. The Open class will be for the fastest, open to anyone that wants to race for the best prizes and competition. Other classes are limited to their age designations (use your age as of race day). Minors must have a waiver signed by a parent. Podium will be 5 deep for each class.

 USEFUL INFORMATION

  • There is a $5 charge per vehicle to enter Stafford Lake Park. An annual pass to all Marin County Parks can be purchased for $95

  • No dogs or other pets are allowed at the park.

  • Cell phone reception is spotty, at best. Verizon seems to work better than AT&T, but it is best not to count on any reception in the bike park area.

  • There will be limited food for sale at the event, if any. Best to bring a cooler if you intend to hang out for the whole Dual Slalom race.

  • It gets hot in the middle of the day and there is not much shade. Bring an umbrella and wear sunscreen; conversely, it cools down quickly after 6:00pm, so brink an extra layer for the XC races.

  • All areas of the park that are not on the race course are open for riding during the races. Please respect the race when crossing the course.

  • Onsite registration opens at 10:00 for the Dual Slalom and 4:30 for the XC races.
