2026 Crusher Cup Series

2026 NorCal Crusher Cup Series

XC mountain bike racing has changed a lot since its inception in the ‘80s. Since the first Olympic XC race in ‘96, XC Olympic (XCO) has evolved into a unique challenge. Shorter courses with multiple laps, shorter climbs, technical challenges, and shorter overall duration have set the stage for closer and more dynamic racing. Our Crusher series brings a bit of the World Cup-style action to the best courses in the Bay Area. Spectator-friendly, challenging, and not too far from home; we hope you will join us for the whole series.

Scroll down for details on 4 individual races.

The Crusher Cup races are all sanctioned by USA Cyling. You must have a license to race. The cost for an annual membership + race license ranges from $0 to $115. See the tab below for a link to details.

#1 Lake Sonoma

June 21, 2026 (NCNCA District Championships)
Start the summer right with the first race of the series. This one doubles as the Northern California and Nevada Cycling Association’s District Championship competition. We’ll crown NCNCA District Champions in 11-12, 13-14, 15-16 Expert, 17-18 Expert, 19-39 Expert, 40-49 Expert, 50-59 Expert, 60+ Expert, Singlespeed, and Elite (men and women).

This is the most popular course we have used at Lake Sonoma, with some rocky and rutted descending and a solid climb for each lap. There is even some shade!

#2 Boggs Mountain

July 12, 2026
Boggs Demonstration State Forest has come back strong since the Valley fire in 2015. Many of the damaged trails have been restored or replaced by the Friends of Boggs Mountain. There are still plenty of big pines to shade our start area and finish loop; Camping under these the night before will be an option.

The race course is fast with enough roots and rocks to make it interesting. Jethro’s Trail will gives a rest on the whoops and berms before the climb back up into the pines. Racers will pass the start/finish at least twice per lap, so good for specators.

#3 Delaveaga Park

August 2, 2026
DeLaveaga Park in Santa Cruz is a favorite. The high speed single track twists through the redwoods, which provide rooty challenges and a shaded climb for each lap. Racers pass the start/finish twice per lap, making this one good for spectating.

August 16, 2026
After a winter of intense trail building by the park, we are looking forward to the new course we will put together for the series’ finale in Novato. Single track, berms, rocks and whoops, in and out of the trees.

#4 Stafford Lake Park
