Short Track XC Racing at Stafford Lake Bike Park!

The 2024 STAFFORD SHORTY XC SERIES is a 5 race series on the flowy trails around the Stafford Lake Bike Park. The mile long course is packed with punchy climbs and fast bermed descents, most viewable from the start/finish area. Races last under 30 minutes. Racing happens on 5 Wednesday evenings in a row, August 14, 21, 28 and September 4 and 11. Race results from each race will earn points for a final series podium for the top 3 in each class at the last race. Fee to race is $30. Pre-register for all 5 and receive a 15% discount. PRE-REGISTER HERE. There will be no on-site registration, so register online by noon of raceday. Racing age is calculated as your age on September 11, 2024. Racers may self-select a category that is appropriate for their skill/fitness level, e.g. a 14 years old racer may race Kids, C Class Open, B Class Open, or A Class Open.

CLASSES AND TIMES:

KIDS - Girls, Boys 14 years old and younger - 3 Laps - 5:30-6:00pm.

C CLASS - Open, Womens’, and 35+ - 3 Laps - 5:30-6:00pm.

B CLASS - Open and 35+ - 4 Laps - 6:00-6:30pm.

A CLASS - Open and 35+ - 5 Laps - 6:30-7:00pm.

The 2024 Stafford Shorty XC Race Series - RULES

You must race in the same category, using the same name, for results to count for the series.

You must be present at the final race on September 11 to be awarded a place on the series podium.

You must race at least 3 of the 5 races to be eligible for the series podium.

If you race all 5 races, we will drop your lowest score when calculating series awards. Only your best 4 finishes can count, or best 3 if you only race 3 races in the series.

The final race will award double points for the series.

Points earned per race for the series podiums are: 1st, 60 - 2nd, 55 - 3rd, 51 - 4th, 47 - 5th, 44 - 6th, 41 - 7th, 38 - 8th, 35 - 9th, 33 - 10th, 31 - 11th, 29 - 12th, 27 - 13th, 25 - 14th, 23 - 15th, 21 - 16th, 19 - 17th, 17 - 18th, 15 - 19th, 13 - 20th, 11 - 21st, 10 - 22nd, 9 - 23rd, 8 - 24th, 7 - 25th, 6 - 26th, 5 - 27th, 4 - 28th, 3 - 29th, 2 - 30th, 1

Note that there is no onsite registration. Pre-register for the whole series or each race by noon of race day.
